Are You Down?
It really gets me how some people tend to want to play the flip flop role with you. I just can not understand how one can pretend to be your friend and then you hear from someone how they been talking down on you. It makes no sense to be a half friend. If you can not be a true friend there is really no need for you to call yourself friend.
If you are down for someone and it be real, you will build that person up. You will always have positive words for that person to their face and behind their back. There would be no need in breaking that person down if you are really down for that person. If your friendship is for real, if that person is down and out, you will uplift that person, if that person is all the way wrong, you will call that person out, but out of love. You will only give that person constructive criticism if they need it. When the person that you call friend needs to hear the truth you will give that person just that no matter how much it may hurt. That person would not have to hear from a mutual friend that you were bad mouthing them and calling them everything but the child of God. If you are not a real friend to that person there is no need to call each other brother and sister making them believe you have a bond that you really do not have.
It is not fair to that person and creates scars. Then one day that person will wind up cold to you and you'll be wondering why. Think about how you are truly treating a person, in their face and behind their back, before you start jumping to false conclusions created in your mind.
Also people, you need to watch out for people like this. If they are shifty and you recognize it, nip it in the bud. Drop that so-called friend and surround yourself with real people. If you can not seem to find real people keep to yourself. That might mean that you need to get closer to God. He might just be calling you to Him for some reason. I know one day it seemed like I woke up and had not one friend, but it was ok because I remembered that I have a true friend in Jesus. Everything happens for a reason and drawing nearer to Him will make that reason clear. I realized this not too long ago when I realized I did not have friends to turn to or even call. But I drew closer to Him and He started prepping me for what His Will is for me.
I will not lie like it is easy to swallow that you have no one. But as time passes it will not phase you because you are awaken to the fact that it is lonely at the top. Do not fret though, if you pray for God to place people into your life that are meant for your good, He will do just that. I am a living testimony of that. I also asked Him not to let people come through my door who is not for me. Remember if they are not for you they are against you. Outside of my door I have several acquaintenances. But does God allow them into the door of my full life? No, He protects me from my enemies. That is why one of my favorite scriptures is Psalms 91. It is a mighty scripture of protection from the enemy. If they do not need to be around me, God makes sure that it is so!!!
Be blessd Loves and watch what company you keep. If they are not positive and uplift you, let them go... Life is too short to keep in the barrell with the crabs. Don't let them keep you down.
Psalm 91
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
