No one should ever have to beg for affection from their significant other. It is something that should be given freely, randomly, intensely, gently and daily. It is caring and a great way of showing that you care. There is never such a thing of giving too much affection, especially if you claim to Love the other person.  When this claim of Love is given, and affection is not shown, eyebrows are raised because affection is a great indicator that Love is present. If not, then it is believed that maybe the Love is not as strong as it is said to be. When a baby is born, affection is given to that child immediately, and on throughout. Why? Because the parents have genuine Love for their child and it is human nature that we affectionately show it.  Affection is projected in a manner that not only makes one feel physically good or needed, but it goes deeper than one might imagine. As I have grown into the young woman that I am :), I have learned a lot of things going through this thing called life. Born to be a lover, I do so hard and I cling to Love like my life depended on it, which I feel that it does. Lately, I have done something that I have never willingly done. I told Love not to stay on account of me, that if it needs to leave, do so and grow into what God wants it to be. That was probably the second hardest thing that I had to do. Something I thought I never could do. I realize that if I cling to Love too much that it can not grow, neither can I. For once, selflessly, I want Love to go and let God. Today, I was inspired to write about just being you. A lot of people get twisted in this very influential society about joining the crowd and being like someone that they are no where near like. I just do not get how grown folks would want to follow a trend that does not represent them well. What makes it so bad, is some people are well over 35 and the people they try to follow are half their age. Come on now, lets be realistic. Blue, pink, and red hair is not for everyone. And by the time you are 30 and older, do you not think that it is time to dress and act appropriately?  Today, I have on a business suit and I look like I'm ready to go and work at a fortune 500 company. I am the type of person who gains all kinds of friends. I tend to realize that all friends are not good for me. Some friends I have to keep at a distance, some I wish I could keep with me at all times. Over the years I have come to terms that all friends will not stay around forever. Although that saddens me, I now understand that it might be for the best. After all, we are true to each other, friendship, just like life, runs in a full circle. There are different points in your life where you have to be without the ones you hold dear to you. I have come to learn that this is not because they do not deal with you anymore, it may simply mean that you both need a chance to grow.  I used to did not understand this at all believing that if they were really my friend, no matter how big or small a situation may be between us, that they should always be around. It really gets me how some people tend to want to play the flip flop role with you. I just can not understand how one can pretend to be your friend and then you hear from someone how they been talking down on you. It makes no sense to be a half friend. If you can not be a true friend there is really no need for you to call yourself friend. If you are down for someone and it be real, you will build that person up. You will always have positive words for that person to their face and behind their back. There would be no need in breaking that person down if you are really down for that person. If your friendship is for real, if that person is down and out, you will uplift that person, if that person is all the way wrong, you will call that person out, but out of love. You will only give that person constructive criticism if they need it. When the person that you call friend needs to hear the truth you will give that person just that no matter how much it may hurt. Before the sun came up I was still up celebrating my Mr. President and another four years. I had stayed up so late handling business, I felt it was no need in going to sleep because if I had, it would have been time to get up to handle more business. Before 7am I was out of the house on a mission with a good friend of mine. Before we could even leave out of my neighborhood, we saw a young lady and a very young boy. The young lady had many bags, and the little boy even had him a little bag. I said to my friend, "It looks like she has a lot going on." My friend agreed and wondered if we should stop to see where the woman was going. I did not hesitate to say yes, so she stopped in the middle of the road, thank God we were not on a busy street. I asked the lady where she was headed and she stated that she really was not sure. She said that she was not from around our parts and was just trying to get home. Home for her was New York, so we knew we had to let her in the car. ...

When I first actually decided to leave Alabama, which was not the easiest decision I've made in my life, I made a vow to myself that my goal was to go to school and do better in life by God, me, my child, and my family. It was not an easy feat but I was so determined that I was going to finish school, get a job, and start doing things in which my heart desired. Things went far from smooth as I was almost homeless, rejected by my own family member and so called friend, and did not have transportation to get there. In the blog that I posted before this one I talked about passion. I mentioned something about one might not know what their passion is. When you find out what it is do not be afraid to put it to work and be happy. The thing about following your passions and dreams is overcoming fear in order to even be able to accomplish those passions. Some people are afraid to do what they love to do. They let excuses like kids, bills, and "doing what's right" sway them out of following what they are truly in love with. God wants us to tap into those things that we are passionate about. If He did not want us to, He would not have planted them into us. I am still overcoming my fear, but I am now walking into my purpose more and more everytime I do something as simple as posting a blog. It is true therapy to my soul and it is allowing me a freedom that no one but God can take away from me. I plan on expanding on my passion, and others to come. I would love to challenge you to do...

All of us come to this world with a set purpose that God ordained to us before we were even in the womb. As we go through life we are to find what our purpose is. Some people are not even aware of what their purpose is or how to go about to even finding what their is their purpose. What is your passion? What is the very thing that brings you joy when you are down, up, in-between? What gives you satisfaction? What do you pride yourself in doing once it's done? For some it is singing, dancing, painting/drawing, helping others. Some it is as simple as planting flowers or cooking their award winning meal. While you may have quite a few things that bring you pleasure in doing, if you do it well, and it is positive, and you know that God would see it as good, this very well could be your passion. Often times I find that people are always nosying around in my business and not tending to their own. That irritates me because they are not trying to help if I need it, or they are not trying to truly give a positive word if needed, they are just simply being nosy. Why must people always have to worry about what is going on in my world if they are not trying to benefit my world? It is truly none of your business, even if I do decide to share with you my thoughts, feelings, or any of my other business and it really just irks my nerves. Being 30 years old I've come in contact with quite a bit of fake people. What I have never been able to grasp is why be fake? If I don't like you, you will very well know it, moreso now than ever before. It just does not sit well with me with people pretending to like you when in actuality they do not. Why fake? What people fail to realize is that most people will respect you more if you can just be honest and let them know how you feel first hand... Not to mention that it hurts more to find out that someone only pretends to be cool with you. What gets me is how some people seem to feed off of being fake with you. With the political elections right around the corner it is a lot being said about truths and lies. While most of the voting people I know will be voting for Obama, some will be casting their vote for Mitt. Both believe that their candidate has the most truth about them. For example, those going for Obama does not believe that Mitt will be the best one because they feel he's full of lies from the beginning to the end. They feel that being that he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth that he could not possibly know the truth of the people as a whole because most of us were not born into wealth and that most of us are struggling so that he could not know our truth. Those that are voting for Obama feel that he has more truth because he knows the struggle we go through and that if he just gets a little more time then he can definitely fix what was messed up in 8 years. I will admit, I'm the one who is sooooo bad with this. There are times that there are people that do not even deserve my time, energy, or presence that I allow in. It can be very crippling and instead you wish, hope, and pray that something good will eventually come out of it. The major eye opener was me befriending someone who pretended to be my friend to my face, but lo and behold, behind my back I was never good enough for anything or anybody. She would speak a great game about how she was only trying to be a real friend and "help me out" when in reality she was only trying to stroke her own sick and demented ego. Her "helping me" only really hurt me, but at the same time it made me stronger. Most times people have a sole purpose in your life and it's up to you to pray for that discerning spirit to show you what exactly is that purpose, or if you are the purpose in their life in order to better them in some manner.
